Job objective: The ideal candidate for the position is someone who has experience with developing automated test equipment for high performance production hardware. In this role, you will work closely with a talented engineering team to design, produce, and support test systems and test procedures to enable the fast and automated production/test of fieldable products.
Duties:
- Design, Build, and Support sophisticated test systems to test high-volume, high-performance products
- Work closely with design engineers to develop test procedures/systems
- Work closely with manufacturing engineers to triage yield issues of production hardware
- Run campaigns to qualify hardware under various environmental conditions
Required Qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5-8 years of experience in Test Engineering, or 3-5 years with an MS degree
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident (future clearance may be required)
- Experience with designing automated test systems for various types of hardware
- Strong test plan writing skills
- Strong understanding of RF engineering concepts
- Good understanding of Power engineering concepts
- Strong documentation skills to track and root cause non-conforming hardware
- Ability to cover the entire test system lifecycle independently
- Leadership skills to guide and instruct more junior test engineers
Desired Qualifications:
- Some experience in programming with an emphasis on python
- Experience working with RF test and measurement equipment such as: VNA’s, Spectrum Analyzers, High-Speed Oscilloscopes, etc.
- Experience with VISA/SCPI commands
- Experience with environmental acceptance and qualification procedures
