POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a Principal Engineer / Architect to join our company. We have an industry-leading technology platform designed to facilitate business for brands and retailers. This is the key engineering role driving major components and the overall system evolution. In this role you will be in charge of technology architecture for major parts of the platform. You are expected to do a lot of technology research to drive ideas from inception to execution with the engineering teams. Please note: this position can be located anywhere in the US and we are open to remote workers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Computer Science or related discipline
• 10+ years experience in architecting software solutions with technical and operational expertise in cloud-based distributed SaaS platforms
• Proven ability in designing, building and running high-performance, highly-available and scalable systems
• Extensive experience working with relational and non-relational databases (Mongo, Postgres, BigTable, Spanner, etc) on high volume problems.
• Strong API & Integration design skills
• Expert-level coding skills in Go and Node.js (or similar)
• Strong interpersonal communication and engineering leadership skills to drive ideas and best practices across the teams
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes and experience architecting and servicing solutions on Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services
• You can figure your way anywhere in the technology stack - frontend/backend/data/ops
