At PatientPop, we believe healthcare providers should focus their attention on delivering quality care to patients. That's why we devised a solution that allows providers to build a thriving practice, without being tied down by the burdens of business growth.

We've helped thousands of providers since our founding in 2014. Along the way, we cultivated an incredible work environment — one of the best, according to Great Place to Work.

Our dedicated team brings a blend of experiences that drives innovation and customer success. Our development-focused culture allows employees to thrive personally and professionally. And our bustling (dog-friendly!) offices are in an enviable location: just two blocks from the beach and around the corner from 3rd Street Promenade.

Now, we want you to be a part of it all.

How you will contribute:

We are looking for someone with a passion for security that loves working with people. The ability to plan, organize, execute priorities to meet business goals, and achieve results is key to success in this role. This role requires an outcome-driven, results individual, who can collaborate with multiple internal/eternal partners/stakeholders to drive our security needs.

Skills you’ll bring:

  • Have a background in Security Engineering, Software Development, Dev. Ops., or Quality Assurance Automation
  • Understand application development and application security
  • Be familiar with browser security controls
  • Be familiarity with AWS. This includes AWS security tools, performing audits, and IAM policies for various services.
  • Have an understanding of Authentication and Authorization standards such as OIDC, OAUTH2, SAML, and the changing landscape of authentication.
  • Have the ability to program in an object oriented language such as Python or Go

Why you're important to us:

This role will impact our organization by being the team subject matter expert in security practices, controls and automation. We need a player who is a problem solver and who can work with all aspects of the organization to help create a culture of security.

In 90 days you will:

Grow a risk-based security program throughout the organization, with an emphasis on application development. You should prepare to have an immediate impact on the organization from day one. You’ll take this far beyond your first 90 days. Expect to constantly be learning, challenging yourself and strategizing with your team on evangelizing security and raising awareness of the top threats to the business.
