THE POSITION:

The Lead Platform Engineer will own the development of our core content platform, which integrates our interactive photo and video products (think: next-level photo and video booths, deployed all over the world) with a cloud-based CMS and API. You will be responsible for integrating features that facilitate operations, increase scalability, and drive groundbreaking creative capabilities. You will oversee a zen-like testing and deployment process.

The right candidate is an experienced full-stack developer, who will develop both customer- and internal-facing applications. You will collaborate with and guide other engineers on our team, and are resourceful enough to quickly integrate additional freelance or full-time personnel when needed to deliver additional specialized capabilities.

The dream candidate has experience and interest in developing innovative real-time video manipulation tools and advanced features involving technologies like facial recognition and augmented reality.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Python and Javascript experience preferred

• Full-lifecycle development experience on large projects, creating distributed and scalable business systems

• Professional experience developing web applications

• Experience implementing test automation frameworks

• Experience in GitHub

BONUS SKILLS:

• Experience building kiosk-based applications

• Knowledge of frameworks like Unity, Processing, or Open for creating compelling media rendering capabilities

• Experience working on applied computer vision projects using a mainstream technology/libraries, emerging CV and facial recognition trends, including neural nets and AI

LOCATION:

This position will be based at our brand new HQ in Los Angeles, a cross between a cool creative office and a photo-and-video production studio. We support flexible work schedules and occasional work-from-home days, but we value face-to-face teamwork most of the time.

NYC, DC, and Mountain View could also be home-bases for this position. We are open to remote-working arrangements for the right candidate.
