Lead Engineer, Full Stack

We are building the next-generation hardware and software platform for the hospitality industry and are looking for brilliant and versatile engineers who know the technology landscape and can craft simple and creative solutions.

We are currently looking for a strong, hands-on Lead Engineer, Full Stack to assist in designing and implementing our cloud and front-end features that will result in a highly consistent, highly available, and performant web application. This position requires strong knowledge in Python and JavaScript, mobile and browser based web applications. You would report to our Senior Director of Engineering based in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead our LA development team using Agile process

• Contribute to tasks prioritization with the Director of Engineering and product managers

• Work with QA manager and Director of Engineering to ensure the integrity of the software released

• Contribute to the development of our cloud software and web applications

• Understand and contribute to the end to end release process

• Communicate and enforce release and deployment policies and plans

• Contribute to the architecture and implementation of our cloud software and web applications

• Ensure that all production systems are well monitored, instrumented, and analyzed to ensure performance and availability

• Get involved in all aspects of the development, testing and production environments

Job Requirements

Front-End

• Web fundamentals like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

• Expert knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS and React

• Libraries like jQuery or Backbone.js

• Front-end (CSS) frameworks like Foundation or Bootstrap

• AJAX

Back-End

• API design and development

• CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete)

• RESTful Services

• Expert knowledge of Python and related frameworks like Django

• Experience with additional server-side languages like GoLang, Java, JavaScript, PHP

• Database technologies like PostgreSQL and MongoDB.

• Web server technologies like Node.js, Apache, Nginx, etc.

• Experience with using ElasticSearch stack.

Other Desired Skills

• Experience with Cloud platform like AWS and Google Cloud Platform

• Experience with application installer (dmg and msi) a plus

• Experience working in an Agile environment, Scrum Master a plus
