Lead Electrical Engineer

REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated ability to lead a hardware development program from concept through production with the development of core electrical systems
- Drive conceptual design, architecture trades, and develop definition of design requirements from customer needs and goals
- Create, maintain, and communicate product development schedules with sufficient detail to ensure that all assigned personnel are aware of their tasks and deadlines
- Experience with power system architecture and design for industrial or military hardware with the ability to work collaboratively with other teams to define product requirements, develop specifications for all critical modules and systems, write and execute design verification test plans
- Verify system test coverage on prototype or representative hardware at the system-level and validate product performance
- Full cycle PCB design including collecting requirements, schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, test, debug and integration with the system
- Develop system interconnect diagrams and define cables and wire harnesses that connect electronic equipment within the product
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience designing, testing and troubleshooting complex board designs or electronic systems
- Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, thermal chambers, current-probes, and automation of tests
- Experience designing for high reliability, high-performance, rugged applications
- Experience with lithium-ion battery systems, high-voltage DC/DC and AC/DC converters, single- and three-phase AC systems, and power distribution
- Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, USB, etc
- Knowledge of military testing standards, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, etc
- Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation design tools
