Mobcrush is a technology and streaming startup based in Santa Monica, CA. Our in-house Minecraft server, InPvP, hosts over 3 million monthly active users. We're partnered with Microsoft as 1 of 5 official Minecraft Multiplayer Servers. 

We’re seeking an ambitious, fast-paced learner to join the Mobcrush team as a Junior Software Developer. In this role, you will be working on the InPvP team, our in-house Minecraft server,  on service compatibility, game updates, and stability. You will collaborate with a small team throughout the development life cycle on a schedule that keeps us as a leader in the market while expanding your technology skills set. You'll play an instrumental role in growing this server and reach gamers worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the development team on create new game modes while managing existing ones.
• Support the creation of new monetization product offerings.
• Maintain server software protocol updates.
• Investigate and learn new Minecraft updates.
• Participate in code reviews and PR requests.
   

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years programming experience
• Strong knowledge of C# 
• Working knowledge of common protocols/standards 
• Working knowledge of common APIs/Libraries
• Algorithms/Patterns
• Concurrency/Threading
• Debugging Techniques/Memory Leak Detection
• Working knowledge of Windows OS in a server environment

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• BS degree in Computer Science or Games Technology
• Full lifecycle development
• MySQL/MariaDB Backends
• Redis 
• Cloud infra, specifically using AWS 
• Linux Operating System
• Image Processing
• Familiar with Minecraft, specifically playing on third party servers
