The Role:

At SnackNation, we’re working hard to inspire more conscious food decisions at over 4,000 offices across the country every month. We’re shaking up the market by building the foremost source of snack preferences and recommendations to enable emerging brands to succeed and get better-for-you food into the hands of individuals such as yourself.

Full stack engineers at SnackNation help us succeed by bridging the gap between frontend and backend systems to quickly deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions to complex problems. You will work on projects that define the technical foundation of SnackNation and enable us to move quickly while delivering well designed, thoroughly tested, user focused code. You’ll collaborate with product, infrastructure, engineering, data, and domain experts across the business to have a direct impact on fulfilling our mission.

What You'll Do:

• Work with a variety of systems and codebases that power every part of our business
• Develop new features for internal tools and member-facing products
• Build functional systems and APIs to help the company scale
• Help evolve and nurture our engineering culture, embracing and encouraging high standards while leaving the many codebases you’ll touch better than you found them
• Partner with our Product team to collaborate closely with stakeholders from every team to deeply understand the problems we’re solving

Who You Are:

• Well versed in Ruby and Javascript and have 3+ years of experience in Rails and one or more frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Enjoy working on a range of problems touching the frontend, backend, and third-party systems with a focus towards developing elegant ways to connect them
• Maintain a user-focused approach when tackling complex problems
• Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently to take projects to completion while also thriving in and helping to drive a deeply collaborative culture to ensure we leverage the talents of the team to build the best possible solutions
• Seek perpetual growth
• Drive best practices in engineering, architecture, and code quality

Projects you'll work on:

• Features to help ensure our members receive the perfect snacks at exactly the right time
• Our platform for gathering, analyzing, and visualizing feedback on hundreds of snacks, powering our class-leading dataset of product feedback for hundreds of snacks
• Internal tools to enable our teams to work efficiently and effectively, allowing the company to continue to scale
