About the position

As the Front-end Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in developing complex, responsive web apps to build the next generation user interface for our travel platform. You will take active part in defining architecture guidelines, selecting tools, and establishing internal standards for creating web apps. You will solve challenging user experience problems and have an important voice in the product & software design process. 

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain complex, responsive, multilingual user interfaces for customer-facing features and internal users
• Follow and enforce so-called best practices and standards throughout the codebase
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members in your areas of expertise
• Collaborate with Product Management and Design on the defining product requirements
• Provide realistic estimate of the level of effort of backlog items and plan your work according to them

You should apply if

• You have a thorough understanding proven by practice of building complex web applications
• You have used React.js, Vue, or similar framework to design and implement a large web application
• You have a very high software artisanship standards, taking great pleasure in writing quality, highly maintainable code
• You value beautiful, pixel-perfect user interfaces, smooth interactions, and self-explanatory workflows
• You have have strong work ethics and communication, and you understand their importance in remote work environments
• You never stop learning, perfecting your hard and soft skills
• You follow technology trends and the latest innovations, and you are able to judge the maturity and practical applications for the tools catching your attention
• You base your decision on evidence, data, and customer satisfaction
• You enjoy working with multidisciplinary teams, supporting your colleagues, respecting everyone’s opinion, wearing many hats when needed, and collaboratively finding the shortest path to achieve the common goal
• You believe in Agile Principles, turning them into day-to-day practices
• You are a self-driven, goal-oriented person driving your own projects to completion, able to identify and follow priorities, reach out for help, and delegate when needed

Bonus points

• BA/BS in Computer Science, or equivalent
• Experience working in the travel industry
