BallerTV is a venture backed startup that is on a mission to rapidly expand the spectrum of sports coverage so you'll never miss a game again. We are in a unique position with our live streaming tech, network of videographers and logistics expertise to own this lucrative amateur sports media market. Similar to the early days of ESPN, we are building a generational business that will forever change the landscape of sports broadcasting. We have a clear path to scale, and our Front-End Developer will play a critical role in building this into a really special business.

Job Summary

BallerTV seeks a Front-End Developer to help build the world's premier live and on-demand streaming service dedicated to amateur athletes. Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, technical, intelligent, detail-oriented, articulate, and have the necessary leadership skills to build a world class product experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products
• Convert designs and prototypes provided by Product Managers and the Product Design team into working, interactive front-end solutions
• Maintain and improve existing web features
• Collaborate with back-end engineers to smoothly pass-off projects
• Maintain a clean, presentable code base with attention to detail and consistency
• Reduce technical debt and create scalable front-end frameworks to meet the needs of BallerTV’s product initiatives
• Partake in weekly QA and bug bashing initiatives with the engineering team

Qualifications and Skills

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field (or comparable working experience)
• 3+ years professional HTML/CSS experience, including Sass/SCSS, BEM, responsive layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility/limitations, and accessibility
• 3+ years professional JavaScript/jQuery experience
• Experience with weekly/bi-weekly sprints and SCRUM process methodologies
• Working knowledge and experience using Git, GitHub, Jira, Heroku, and Slack
• Working knowledge and experience using various design software (Adobe, Sketch) and asset preparation for development
