The Platform team provides the foundation that empowers Fair’s engineers to build incredible things. We’re looking for dynamic software engineers who are passionate about and interested in infrastructure, network, systems, and security engineering.

As the Security Engineering Manager reporting to the Director, Platform Engineering, you will shape the development and growth of Fair’s security team. You will work with Fair’s legal, compliance, and leadership teams to define the company’s privacy and data security policies. You will work with the Platform team to architect and build security infrastructure and tooling for the entire Engineering organization.

Responsibilities:

• Define and build Fair’s product engineering security workflow
• Conduct security compliance reviews 
• Recruit and mentor a group of 3-4 security engineers
• Improve Fair’s monitoring and threat detection capabilities
• Design and implement security tooling

Required Qualifications:

• Prior experience managing a small group of engineers
• Experience with developing and/or maturing a security program
• Experience with Go, Ruby, or Python
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate technical concepts with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience conducting security trainings for a company
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Internal red teaming/penetration testing experience
• One or more of the following certification(s): CISM, CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or similar
