How you will contribute:

  • Contribute to and manage the team building a modular windows application, extensible framework and background services that sends medical information to PatientPop’s Cloud Based Integration Platform
  • Extract and transform data from third party systems using a variety of methodologies such as database access, interaction with API’s via DLL’s, interaction with local web services, and inter-process communication including local network scoped WCF
  • Collaborate with PatientPop’s cloud integration platform team that powers data for the other PatientPop products (event driven systems, microservices and REST API’s)
  • Play a lead role in software design, architecture, requirements analysis, investigation of leading-edge technologies, project management and software development.
  • Inspire, champion and teach when the need arises
  • Demonstrate a mix of intelligence, integrity, domain knowledge, verbal agility, and diplomacy which allows you to rapidly earn the trust of engineers and product management leaders
  • Own the delivery of the EMR Integrations Application, work with the product team to define KPIs and meet SLAs
  • Inspire, champion and teach when the need arises

  • Language: Node.js, ES6, Python
  • Infrastructure: AWS
  • Database: Postgres, Dynamo
  • Events: Kinesis, SQS, SNS
  • Service: ECS, Lambda
  • Other: StepFunction

Skills you’ll bring:

  • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • 3+ years of experience in technical management
  • Technical roadmap evangelization and management
  • Architecture visionary and best practice steward
  • Experience in object oriented programming using C# (or similar language) 
  • Experience with windows application development and the WIN32 API
  • Experience with relational (MS SQL, MySQL, Postgres) and nonrelational (Redis, Dynamo, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Hbase)
  • Experience interacting with Microservices and scalable object-oriented RESTful web services
  • Familiarity with network and connectivity troubleshooting: Firewalls, VPN, NAT, etc.
  • Comfortable with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Agile environments
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, capacity to mentor team members
  • Leadership ability, excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Reverse engineering experience is a plus
