Summary:

As an Engineer 2 on the Corporate Information Systems team, you will be primarily focused on implementing, customizing and integrating enterprise SaaS applications.  This includes, but is not limited to, the ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence platforms and its integration with other collaboration and development tools within the company, e.g. PagerDuty, GitHub and Slack.  This position requires active collaboration with business stakeholders in breaking down requirements to technical deliverables.  In doing so, you’ll be optimizing process efficiency and contributing to the way we get things done within engineering, technical operations and beyond.  You’ll be leveraging standard skillsets in complex environments to provide innovative solutions to meet business needs in multiple business units.

A day in the life…

  • Collaborate with Business Service Analysts (BSA) and Product Owners to write Epics and Stories
  • Convert business requirements to technical requirements
  • Analyze stories for legacy compatibility requirements
  • Generate risk analysis for integrating code into legacy environments
  • Contribute ideas and workarounds to complex issues and blockers
  • Research and evaluate various technical approaches to meeting business requirements identified by BSAs and Product Owners
  • Configure platforms, including but not limited to ServiceNow Workflows, UI Policies, Data Policies, Record Producers, Reports and Portal Pages as well as Jira workflows, screen and permission schemes, and add-ons
  • Develop scripts and integrations of enterprise-wide applications according to coding standards, leveraging guidance from senior engineers
  • Contribute Technical Documentation for all solutions developed, including process/data diagrams and providing comments inline with code
  • Document progress of Agile stories in a centralized tool
  • Announce status and roadblocks; collaborating with team members during daily stand-up
  • Perform unit tests against implemented solutions
  • Formulate a testing approach, test cases and document them
  • Conduct code and feature walkthroughs to audiences of all levels of the organization
  • Support User Acceptance Tests and implement code into Production
  • Contribute to technical documentation, including inline comments in code
  • Provide on-call support when Production issues occur
  • Analyze the root cause of high-priority Production incidents and participation in remediation efforts

You own this if you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
  • 2+ years of experience working with ITSM solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • 1+ years of Service Now development / implementation / administrative experience
  • 1+ years of Jira development / implementation / administrative experience
  • 1+ years of Confluence development / implementation / administrative experience
  • Experience working with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, SOAP, REST, Jelly, etc.)
  • Experience working with databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Experience integrating internal and external (SaaS based) applications.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and/or other Authentication applications
  • Full-stack development experience preferred
  • Proficiency in a coding language, such as Java, JavaScript, C++
  • Proven results integrating applications leveraging multiple web service architectures and data markup formats
  • Experience in API development and systems integrations
  • Experience in software development lifecycles and QA
  • ITIL v3 certification
