Job Summary: 

The Electrical Engineer works closely with the other engineering functions (ME, SW, Systems integration, Layout, TPM) to design, develop, test and mass produce robotic fulfillment hardware that improve FC cubic density and order velocity to improve customer experience. The Electrical Engineer makes independant critical design decisions and must understand engineering best practices and GMP. You must possess a curious mind, great engineering skills and like collaborative work.

Job Expectations: 

  • Establish system and module specifications
  • Create sustainable designs for power, communication processors and sensors for Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs)
  • Familiarity with AGVs modules: battery systems, power management, motion control, communications and sensors including cameras, etc. 
  • Scope and deliver technical solutions from concept to production
  • Continuously collaborate with your cross functional peers, maintaining great communications 
  • Present to peers, leadership and project managers to communicate product milestones and achievements
  • Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment
  • Occasional travel

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in complex analog and digital circuit design
  • Familiar with schematic design and PCB layout best practices and tools 
  • Familiar with industry standard CAD design tools, industry trends, and design for manufacturability
  • Ability to manage a process driven development mentality while also balancing time to market
  • Commitment to rigorous testing & validation practices
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects a plus
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering practice
  • BS EE or comparable work experience
