Tinder brings people together. We are looking for a Director of Engineering that will lead our Product Development teams. In this role, you will build, scale, and experiment with developing end to end solutions aimed towards user growth. This is a highly impactful role that will report directly to our VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• In this role you will be overseeing key engineering initiatives building: Content Creation, Content Consumption/Exploration/Communication, and Community Driven Engagement
• Partner closely with iOS, Web Platform, Android Platform, Release Engineering, Product Management, and other Engineering leaders across Tinder to identify the highest-impact opportunities to accelerate the product and user experience
• Develop long-term scalable architectural direction, with a focus on design, usability and user experience
• Drive the creation of processes and tools to support multiple platforms, continuous scaling and product expansion
• Break down complex problems and provide recommendations with quantitative and qualitative reasoning
• Lead and mentor team members and managers to reach their full potential
• Drive strategic plans and tactical execution that align with business goals
• Recruit and develop team members at all levels

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of industry engineering experience
• 5+ years experience managing engineering teams and developing managers
• 2+ Experience working in growth at a consumer facing product company
• Experienced in growth frameworks and techniques
• Significant background of data-oriented decision making
• Experience with, and knowledge of modern systems, engineering tools, architecture, technologies and best practices
