Tinder brings people together. We are looking for a Director of Engineering that will lead our Client Platform teams. In this role you will lead teams building the foundational infrastructure supporting client development and releases. This is a highly impactful role that will report directly to our VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Lead teams across iOS, Android, and Web to provide foundational infrastructure other teams rely on to build features in the app, such as foundational components, templates, and flows
• Build tooling that automates pipelines for CI/CD to build, testing, and release code
• Design architecture, frameworks, and libraries that abstract our problem domains and allow engineers to build solutions across multiple platforms with one mindset
• Build cross-functional partnerships with teams to achieve high impact objectives
• Lead and mentor team members and managers to reach their full potential
• Drive strategic plans and tactical execution that align with business goals
• Recruit and develop team members at all levels

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of industry engineering experience
• 5+ years experience managing engineering teams and developing managers
• 2+ Experience working on client infrastructure at consumer facing product company
• Experienced building multi-platform applications
• Significant knowledge and experience of modern client systems, engineering tools, architecture, technologies and best practices
