About the Company
Gimbal is a marketing and advertising automation platform that translates location data from the real world into targeting, measurement, and insight products for our customers. Using its own hardware and software, Gimbal enables brands, media agencies, and marketers to improve their campaigns with personalized messaging and drive measurable business results.

Founded in Santa Monica in 2011 as PaeDae, Gimbal has grown its offering over the years to include a best-in-class location management platform, Location SDK, and physical hardware (beacons) through the acquisition of Qualcomm-backed spinout of the same name. Most recently, Gimbal acquired Drawbridge’s media business to bring industry-leading location data and cross-device capabilities under the same roof.

Today, Gimbal’s HQ is located in sunny downtown Los Angeles. It also maintains satellite offices in New York City, San Diego, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston and Boston.

Our team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Digital Process Engineer to join our Operations team in Downtown LA. As a Digital Process Engineer at Gimbal, you will be focused on optimizing internal and external workflows currently powered by proprietary and web-based platforms like WordPress, Zapier, Zendesk, and Trello which have been customized to meet specific business needs.

  • The ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly, with loose (at best) direction
  • The willingness to analyze problems from a 30,000-foot view while simultaneously being able to dig into the weeds to implement solutions on your own

As a Digital Process Engineer, you will be:

  • Building and automating new processes needed by our teams and customers
  • Curating and refining existing workflows to optimize for speed and efficiency
  • Troubleshooting bugs if/when they arise
  • Enhancing features of existing workflows
  • Monitoring for errors and outages
  • Defining and maintaining SLAs necessary for providing incredible service to our clients

Requirements

  • A passion for building automation into processes and procedures
  • 2+ years experience in WordPress, plugin management (Gravity Forms, etc.), and web hosting
  • PHP/Javascript experience preferred (but not required)
  • Experience with Zapier, Trello, Zendesk, MailChimp, Mandrill, and more
  • Superior quantitative and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Spreadsheets
  • Experience building visualizations in Tableau or other data visualization platforms preferred
  • Experience with APIs preferred
  • Six Sigma Certified a plus
  • Motivated individual, with a positive attitude, who can consistently strive to exceed expectations
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Attention to detail and highly organized
  • A passion for getting shit done

Benefits

  • Generous health benefits plan
  • Unlimited paid time off
  • Company-sponsored 401k match
  • Annual professional development and continuing ed stipend
  • Opportunity to work with fun, vibrant team in sunny, open office overlooking downtown LA and Los Angeles Wholesale Fruit Market
