Who We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who has experience that's heavier in Ops than Dev, with a focus in Linux systems administration. You are constantly looking to pay back technical debt. Good grasp of DevOps organizational patterns, and value of DevOps to the enterprise. You are also familiar with cloud-based platforms (preferably AWS and Microsoft Azure).
You will be helping build simple, secure, stable, AWS-based microservice platforms for all our products. You will help to ensure our services are performant and continuously scaleable.

You have a solid understanding of:
- TCP/IP networking; DNS, DHCP, HTTP
- "12-factor" design patterns
- Solid Operations or Systems Administration background, with focus in Linux administration
- Good grasp of DevOps organizational patterns, and value of DevOps to the enterprise
- Strong AWS skills (at least EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
- Knowledge of Linux administration, configuration, monitoring and maintenance
- Demonstrated Docker experience. Writing and troubleshooting Dockerfiles and docker-compose services.
- Experience with at least one Docker orchestration platform: Rancher, Kubernetes, Swarm. Ability to discuss pros and cons of each.
- Understanding of Docker networking (host vs overlay, etc)
- Understanding of configuration management
- Good grasp of REST API design, oAuth, MVC Working experience with Nginx
- Monitoring and alerting: Solid practical experience with New Relic or another APM platform
