Divergent 3D is on a mission to democratize the design and manufacture of vehicles. We want to enable a future where small entrepreneurial teams across the globe will bring increasingly material and energy efficient transportation solutions to market with a fraction of the capital and time.

The current auto manufacturing system is economically and environmentally broken. Divergent invented a manufacturing system that combines software, additive manufacturing, and assembly technologies to radically reduce the material, energy, time and capital required to design and build vehicles. This will transform the automotive industry from capital intensive to innovation intensive while dramatically reducing the lifecycle environmental impact of vehicles. We have been recognized for our disruptive innovation, receiving the Frost & Sullivan Innovation of the Year and the inaugural Petersen Innovation in the Automotive Industry awards as well as being named a Google Moonshot company.

Engineers at D3D have a tremendous opportunity to drive significant results through the design of new process technologies as we launch new products, and processes, and continually strive to improve performance and cost optimization. You will be working for an organization that values a strong collaboration between all Operations functions to ensure we are designing optimal manufacturing processes that are safe, cost effective, reliable and maintainable. This collaboration is critical as we continue to innovate and explore the integration of advanced technologies, along with IoT information, and data flow. Engineers at D3D are highly respected and take a lead role for most major Operations related projects.

The Role: Manufacturing Assembly and Process Manager

D3D is currently seeking a Manufacturing Assembly and Process Manager who will serve as a subject matter expert over a low volume vehicle manufacturing assembly line development. The ideal candidate will understand theoretical approaches and practical implementations of these technologies in a manufacturing environment of various process types (e.g. assembly, material handling, packaging, etc). You will be working with a team to develop innovative technological solutions for current and future applications at D3D.
