Associate Support Equipment Engineer - (Propulsion)Company:The Boeing CompanyJob ID:00000276683Date Posted:2021-10-18-07:00Location:USA - Seal Beach, CAJob Description Qualifications: Boeing Commercial Airplanes is currently seeking for Associate Support Equipment Engineer in the Technical Requirements Group with knowledge of aircraft systems and mechanical engineering principles to support the team in Seal Beach, California.The primary responsibility in this role will be addressing and providing engineering analysis of Tooling and Ground Support Equipment used for maintaining commercial airplanes. Will be responsible for providing technical data to customers on ground support equipment and ground operations for airplane servicing and maintenance. This includes data for both Boeing-designed and commercially available Ground Support Equipment. Provide sales support and introductory support by analyzing an airlines' capabilities and equipment requirements to service and maintain airplanes new to their fleet. Work with suppliers to determine tooling requirements and procedures for the repair, testing, and overhaul of their components. Position Responsibilities:

  • The Ground Support Equipment Engineer researches information and engineering data used to ensure supportability and maintainability of support products and services
  • Contributes to directing product definition and design to enhance supportability and contributes to the development of system and program requirements for support of products.
  • Provides technical solutions and support to airline customers on ground support equipment and ground operations for airplane servicing and maintenance.
  • Provides sales support and introductory support by analyzing an airlines' capabilities and equipment requirements to service and maintain airplanes new to their fleet.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • Experience in aerospace industry
  • Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an operations environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience and/or familiarity with Ground Support Equipment to maintain commercial airplanes.
  • Ability to review, prepare and communicate design specifications and test plans for above type equipment.

Typical Education/ Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
