Boeing is seeking a Associate Software Engineer to work in their Seal Beach, CA location.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Address all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements and interface definition, design, development, and integration of embedded software for space-based applications, and product maintenance.
  • Support formal qualification testing, including software test description generation and test script generation using TCL.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers during development and after product release. 
  • Responsible for several parallel tasks as part of a fast-paced and dynamic team of systems and software engineers.

Required Qualifications, Experience and Education:

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

 Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years' previous experience developing software using C.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. (Pre-Start)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Previous technical experience in an aerospace environment.
  • Self-motivated problem solver, capable of taking initiative with minimal instruction. 
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Able to problem solve in a clear and concise manner.
  • Possesses strong communication skills.
  • Previous experience with Unix/Linux.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic relocation is available for internal candidates.
