Acorns is seeking an experienced Director of Consumer Insights to lead our research practice. The role leverages a broad array of research approaches designed to surface and action customer needs. Disciplines like consumer insight generation using ethnographic methods, user testing and usability, customer satisfaction tracking, bread health measurement and competitive intelligence are just several of the many skills a seasoned market research leader will utilize at Acorns. In this position, you will be able to shape the way we help young people improve their financial lives and be at the forefront of innovation.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accountable for all consumer insight activities including internal efforts and relationships with third party research vendors
• Establish regular metrics for customer satisfaction and brand health
• Create a usability practice within the organization
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to inform communications and our product roadmap
• Provide in-depth competitive intelligence reports
• Communicate and educate the entire team on “who is our customer?”

Job Requirements:

• BA degree
• Minimum 7 years of targeted market research experience a consumer focused company or a market research vendor
• Expertise in managing multiple research vendors
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to lead and coach others how to moderate research activities
• Creativity, problem-solving ability and passion for the mission
