ROLE SUMMARY: 
The Director of Audience Insights & Acquisition will play a pivotal role in leading strategy for data driven marketing in the martech / adtech space. You will be a primary stakeholder in implementing and utilizing martech / adtech platforms, including but not limited to DMPs, Ad Servers, DSPs, Identity Management Solutions, and Programmatic platforms. You will collaborate with multiple teams (data science, engineering, customer strategy, and strategic analysis) to develop strategies and drive requirements with the goal of identifying and targeting key prospects and customer segments. You are a thought leader in this space and will be a key contributor to shaping DSC’s overall marketing strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Adtech / Martech (Key Media Buying Technologies)

  • Lead a cross functional team to scope and implement media buying technologies. Develop and execute initiatives focused on martech / ad tech (DMP, Ad Server, DSP, MTA solution), programmatic marketing, and marketing efficiency
  • Report and present to executives on critical technologies. DSC point person for data driven Acquisition initiatives
  • Oversee the stack to ensure that the platforms are being properly maintained and utilized. Primary owner and user of the stack

Segmentation (Prospecting Cohorts)

  • Collaborate closely with the Customer Strategy team to define different customer segments and build look-a-likes based on variable LTV / CPA targets
  • Partner with owners of the media buying channels to ensure targeting of high value prospects
  • Drive end-to-end marketing analysis by closing the loop from acquiring high value prospects to improving their LTV

Leadership

  • Motivate and inspire teams to ensure collaboration across customer growth, customer monetization, strategic analysis, product, and engineering
  • Identify resource gaps and needs; build a team to help support our data driven initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Masters in related field (Economics, Business, Marketing, Math)
  • Equivalent work experience: Digital media buying, Adtech / Martech Implementation
  • 7+ years in related field, E-commerce experience preferred
  • Specialized experience: In-depth knowledge of DMP, Ad Servers, DSPs, and MTA solutions
  • Digital media buying experience required
  • Strong knowledge of media marketing channels (digital, mass media, offline)
  • Hands on experience with AdWords, Facebook Power Editor / Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Adobe Marketing Cloud / Oracle Marketing Cloud / Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Direct experience with a tech stack (programmatic stack) including DMP, ad servers, and DSPs; DoubleClick and Adobe preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively within deadlines and manage time and priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience leading cross functional teams to translate business needs into data requirements
