Tinder is looking for an experienced Workplace Planning and Design Manager to work with an amazing team ready to support you in this role, as we grow and evolve our LA and PA/SF footprints. In addition to partnering with our business leads to help solve space planning challenges, you'll be working closely with the Real Estate and Workplace projects team as they build plans for our future. Your experience in space planning, move planning, workplace and real estate will be pivotal to delivering plans and programs that enable rapid growth.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Strategic Space Planning

  • Manage space planning tools, tracking occupancy and hiring forecasts to proactively forecast need and efficiently manage space utilization. Report occupancy statistics and manage strategies for short and long-term workspace solutions.
  • Integrate with existing established systems (Finance and HR) to gain knowledge of hiring forecasts and adjust space planning needs accordingly.
  • Develop and maintain master space utilization plans; forecast growth requirements at all sites to meet business and operational needs for multiple years
  • Understand business area alignment and relate to long term space planning
  • Provide reports and presentations to Senior Leadership as needed

Space Blocking and Stacking, and Move Management

  • Oversee seating assignments and move management strategies for both HQ and SF/PA office 
  • Ensure all people moves are planned for, managed and carried out seamlessly and effectively
  • Generate and maintain documentation including building specific space plans, department boundaries and square footage allocations

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop space plan scenarios and related project budgets and provide input to capital project budgets
  • Provide PM support to all capital projects through all stages; planning, design, execution, and beneficial use.

Design and Construction Liaison 

  • Lead customer user requirements and translate/design and space needs into workplace scenarios
  • Prepare as-built plans, hypothetical space plans and furniture layouts
  • Act as primary contact for all design, workplace standards, furniture reconfigurations and construction coordination 
  • Analysis of design performance and space related data, ability to perform trending analysis
  • Review construction drawings and design packets for adherence to Workplace design standards as well as project look & feel
  • Oversee design and furniture scope for new build projects, as well as specialty projects at existing sites from beginning to completion
  • Work closely with facility design team, project architect, project furniture vendor(s), and other technical teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget

What we’re looking for:

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience
  • Ideally with an interiors or architecture education 
  • Design Project Management experience
  • Well versed in a space management platform like SpaceIQ, Office Space, Wisp, etc
  • Well versed in design tools such as AutoCAD, Adobe, Powerpoint
