About the role:Lead the product design team, and will partner closely with the leadership team to drive our goals and deliver a world-class product. Responsible for the design of Welcome Technologies platform, developing and creating a cohesive, top-quality experience that aligns with how our users engage with our platform end-to-end. The design of Welcome Technologies platform and site is a critical part of our strategy. The unique aesthetic can make all the difference in user adoption and drive user behavior to use the plethora of services currently and the ones we intend to add. This key leadership position is responsible for developing an overall strategy for our ever-evolving technology, leveraging the current team’s talents and wisdom and while at the same time upskilling and motivating them to think differently.  The VP of Product Design plays an integral role in coordinating across the product management, engineering, marketing, and GTM teams to ensure the most seamless experience for our users, regardless of how or what features or products engage with on our platform. This leader must develop a deep understanding of our persona-driven go-to-market framework, craft and implement initiatives to reinforce and improve upon the design and ensure all deliverables are consistent with best practices and company needs. 

What we are looking for

• Design leader with rich UI/UX experiences developing strategies for simple visual solutions for complex problems involving data visualization and highly technical information
•  Partner with senior leadership to create a cohesive experience across our product and our brand identity 
• Work across teams to coordinate, prioritize, and communicate our product roadmap
• Work with the Community outreach, customer support, and marketing team to better understand user motivations and integrate those findings into the product and brand experience
• Partner closely with engineering and other product stakeholders to drive forward a strong, cohesive product vision
• Key driver and champion of ongoing firm-wide and design team process improvements
• Market intelligence: Be an expert on delighting customers through design
• Develop the competency and behavioral frameworks needed for product managers and designers to excel and advance in their career

What excites us about you

• 10+ years of product design experience in the technology possibly in B2B2C
• Has been Head of Product Design or otherwise responsible for the team technical and operational excellence, scaling, and staying relevant to the company’s needs and goals
• Proven leadership skills rooted in positivity and raising the creative bar Proven experience transform defined customer needs and business goals into estimated plans with appropriate resources
• Have owned the product design strategy for multiple complex products, across an organization
• You have proven experience developing and communicating Design strategy decisions to senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Ability to bring forward quantitative and qualitative data into the design process
• Expertise in a variety of design disciplines and tools and ability to conceptualize and deliver the most innovative approaches to design
• World-class written and verbal communication skills
• BA/BS degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.

Added plus:Knowledge of responsive design, native iOS and Android design
