At HopSkipDrive, we know that to tackle our toughest challenges, we need different approaches, unique perspectives, and new ways of thinking. We are building a team of creative problem-solvers from many different backgrounds.
The Sr. Brand Designer will own and evolve the HopSkipDrive brand and user experience across all non-product touchpoints. You will drive improvements to the information architecture, functionality, utility, and styling of our full range of branded assets including our public website and lead gen forms, landing pages, email templates, microsites, advertorial, interactive field marketing, trade show presence, sales enablement, and more. As a leader on a marketing team responsible for engaging three distinct audiences, you will learn our business and our buyer personas quickly, and rapidly identify blind spots that can be remedied through research and other methods. You will evaluate the current and future viability of our CMS and propose appropriate alternatives, making business cases to senior management for platform changes and major investments. You will use wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to bring your recommendations to life and encourage thoughtful feedback to your deliverables. You will use data and testing to inform design decisions. You will work with artists, in-house and freelance front-end developers, and the marketing team to implement your work.
In doing all of these things, you will learn more than you can imagine, set the standard for “dependable teammate,” and help kids realize priceless opportunities through mobility.
Your Primary Responsibilities
Refine and enforce a scalable brand and style guide
Own the look and feel of our public facing website, growing revenue per visitor over time through deliberate and data driven enhancements and optimizations
Create wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups that are optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces
Serve as a forward-looking steward for all branded experiences at HopSkipDrive, not just enforcing documented standards but challenging and refining them
Initiate research and apply data gathered through testing and usage trends
Proactively learn about HopSkipDrive’s business, culture, audiences, and buyer personas
Create friendly but prescriptive flows that direct users quickly and consistently based on intent
Work with field marketing to envision and realize a visual presence for trade shows and conferences that starts conversations, cultivates trust, and sets us apart from competitors in those environments
Work with demand gen to build and optimize email and landing page templates that convert
Design and redesign sales enablement collateral
- UX/UI design experience (and the portfolio to prove it) as a hands-on interaction/visual designer through the product development cycle of successfully launched web, mobile, and/or software applications.
- Fluent in wireframe, responsive design, mobile/tablet UI & UX
- Passionate about understanding (and keeping the team informed about) current and emerging UX/UI trends
- Demonstrated UX/UI design skills with a strong portfolio
- Grasp of the pros and cons of various content management systems
- Experience succeeding at a high growth startup
