We are looking for a Product UI Designer - Contract to create amazing user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and useful design, possess great UI skills, be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces. You will join the Product / Tech team working closely with engineers, product managers and other designers.

You need to be a team player with a min. 4 years of professional experience in UI, Visual Design, prototyping and min. 2 years designing client-side applications for Mobile and Web.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with UX designers, product management and engineering to implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
• Transform UX requirements into pixel-perfect beautiful UI to enhance user experiences.
• Create illustrations and animations to help visually guide users through the product interface
• Ensure design consistency - refine the style guide, or visual language, to be used across the board while promoting design guidelines, best practices and standards
• Product prototypes to showcase visual designs, identify flaws, smooth out rough edges and user testing.
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and product team
• Participate in design reviews and critiques

Requirements

• Bachelors or Master degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent
• 4+ years experience designing digital experiences, products, and platforms
• A strong portfolio with amazing UI and strategic user experiences
• Strategic and collaborative thinker; ability to ideate and execute new product features
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Adobe CS, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision, Zeplin or other visual design and prototyping tools
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
• Front-end development skills (javascript/html/css) is a plus
