An Insider's view of Scorpion

What's something quirky about your company?

Many Scorpions (including executives) have nicknames that everyone is encouraged to use. This personal touch is just a small representation of how we truly operate as a team.

As quirky as it sounds, working for a company that makes leaders and peers approachable and accessible is incredibly rare and invaluable to my professional development

Marissa

Director of Learning & Development

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

Collaboration is one of the most important Scorpion values. I am constantly working with other teams to make sure our products and service are the best in the industry. Getting to work with the best and brightest is inspiring. People want to help each other and there is no shortage of great ideas, making collaboration a natural part of what we do

Cory

Director of Internet Marketing

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

When I started with Scorpion, we were less than half our current size, at around 350 employees.

Since, Scorpion life has been a consistent whirlwind of collaboration, innovation, and hard work.

I was a department of one, and now I lead our Talent Acquisition department of three. I love that Scorpion leaders encourage growth and responsibility!

Seth

Director of Talent Acquisition

How do you empower your team to be more creative?

Every month we all read a new book, meet weekly to go over each chapter. Additionally, we have our daily morning huddles that are run by a different team member each week. In these huddles we go over a Scorpion value and how we can add to it, watch a TED talk or discuss a concept and how we can apply it. Lastly, I have an open door policy.

Raphael

SVP of People Operations

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Scorpion has consistently given me opportunities to enhance my skills and abilities, through many learning tools. I've moved from People Operations Generalist, to Manager, to Director in less than two years! Scorpion also graciously payed for my SHRM-CP exam and now I am a certified HR Professional. So grateful for all that I have learned here!

Briana

Director of People Operations
