Jaanuu is a digital-first retailer changing the world of performance-oriented medical scrubs through innovations in fabric, design and fit. Jaanuu is seeking a motivated and energetic artist to join our team as a Motion Designer. As part of our creative team, you will create video content and assets for use across a wide variety of media, including social media, mobile platforms, and emerging media. You will work with a larger team of creative professionals, supporting company goals and media initiatives, meaning that a collaborative mindset is an absolute must. Our ideal candidate is an expert in an array of Adobe products, including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects Design, as well as an expert in other common design software.
The Motion Designer will report into the VP of Creative and partner directly with the creative and marketing teams as well as other cross functional teams as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Create unique high-quality graphics, animation, and video content for a diverse array of platforms and distribution including social media channels (Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Instagram Stories, IGTV, Facebook Stories, TikTok, Snapchat, CTV)
- Collaborate with creative directors, designers, and writers to best support larger media goals
- Assemble video content to tell compelling stories that meet the brand story requirements
- Edit videos to support brand marketing campaigns, internal communications, sales presentations, and overall brand video initiatives
- Support projects from ideation through production, and receive feedback at all stages
- Manage post-production workflow including ingesting, transcoding, editing, grading, compression, and exporting
- Organize, archive, and manage all video assets and music libraries
- Take initiative on projects to over-deliver new and innovative solutions
- Adhere to brand guidelines in ways that still push creative boundaries
- Provide bold, creative ideas that push the envelope and drive results
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of industry experience
- 4 year design (or related) degree
- Strong interpersonal skills and loves to collaborate with members of own team as well as across department
Skills:
- A portfolio of design work across a variety of media platforms
- Deep expertise in typography, composition, color, motion, and design thinking
- Expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite and common motion graphics design software
- A never-ending desire to learn new techniques and technology to advance your craft
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superb visual and conceptual skills to solve problems and create solutions
- Understanding of brand design in motion
- Ability to follow and build upon brand and campaign systems
- Iterative design process
- Understanding of today’s creative landscape and trends within the design industry
- An eye for cohesive visuals across fields like photography, illustration, and animation
- Strong interpersonal skills and loves to collaborate with members of own team as well as across team
- Experience in utilizing a strong brand identity to drive direct response
