What’s The Role About:

Puffco is looking for a Head of Creative who will lead the creative department. As Head of Creative, you will lead three critical functions: strategy, creative, and production. You will balance creative and management skills to deliver best in class creative while growing your team and driving process improvements.

Some things you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing creative department, leading a team of 5-10 with a focus on developing the team members to reach their full potential
  • Set, monitor and report on team goals
  • Working closely with the Creative Project Manager to ensure deadlines are met and work is delegated to team
  • Recruitment and selection of new members on the creative team with quarterly and annual hiring plans 
  • Ensuring staffing levels are maintained in order to complete all aspects of the company’s creative strategy 
  • Carrying out competitor analysis to ensure the company’s creative strategy is completely effective while researching demand for our products and services
  • Working closely with other heads of departments on company projects 
  • Making sure that brand guidelines are adhered to in all creative activities across the company 
  • Understanding and developing budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections
  • Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and creative efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material) 

Qualifications and Skills you will need to have:

  • Work experience as Head of Creative or Executive/Group Creative Director, preferable within our industry
  • Leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals (able to be a coach and a player)
  • Experience running successful marketing campaigns and creative projects
  • Effective time management skills
  • Understanding of customer experience methodology, brand management, marketing, advertising, and e-commerce
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Powerpoint, HTML, PHP, Emarsys
  • Detail oriented, able to work in pressure
  • Effective oral, written, and verbal communication skills 
  • BSc and MSc in Marketing or relevant field
