Ranker is looking for a versatile Graphic Motion Video Editor/Producer who is as comfortable creating motion graphics and video templates as well as editing anything from weekly explainer videos to branded content and who has a strong passion for Geek and Entertainment Culture; Comics, Videos Games and TV/Movies.

This is a remote position, but eventually will be in-office, applicants should be LA-based. 

Who you are: 

You are a digital video native who has experience creating, building and editing fun, engaging and highly shareable video for social media audiences. You are proficient in the pacing and visual styles prevalent in YouTube videos, Facebook formats and beyond. You are extremely well versed in design and motion graphics. You have a strong creative eye and a desire to develop new styles of visual storytelling. 

Beyond being a great creator, you are highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced small team environment. You are willing to learn new things, contribute wherever you can. You are someone who will work quickly and efficiently, never missing a deadline and produce digital videos that engage our audiences as well as deliver solid business results.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage the creative video process from concept development to post-production.
• Design and create exciting graphics and animation for a variety of shows.
• Be the go-to person for troubleshooting workflows, render or export problems 
• Tell engaging stories using different creative elements 
• Create new sharable content for Facebook, Snapchat, YouTube as well as other emerging platforms. 

Ideal qualifications:

• 2-6 years as an editor in a professional post-production environment
• 2-5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and creating videos consistently across platforms.
• 2-6 years of post production experience in a production company or studio environment. 
• Animation experience is preferable.
• Expert in Adobe Premiere CC and Media Encoder
• Proficient in After Effects CC, Photoshop CC
• A strong eye for detail and design.
• Ability to work in all HD, UHD, and digital video formats including all variations of compression formats and their different uses in the production environment
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Possess a strong sense of story and rhythm, color grading, music and audio, and good communication
• LA based is preferable but open to candidates in IL or NY
