To help us achieve our goal, we are seeking a razor-sharp Graphic Designer eager to make an impact within a mission-driven organization. This will be a Contract to Hire position. The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and developing basic to moderately complex visual elements to support learning and development initiatives across the organization. As part of the Training and Education Team, you will produce assets for instructional materials to enhance the learning experience, reinforce concepts, and improve retention. The ideal candidate has a creative eye and can effectively balance innovative, out-of-the box thinking with instructional design best practices.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working with subject matter experts and instructional designers to conceptualize visual elements needed to support training content
• Choosing the best color schemes, multimedia, and layout for training materials
• Designing the graphical user interface for e-learning content
• Producing all static and motion graphics, charts, illustrations, etc. from concept to completion
• Creating branching scenarios, e-learning simulations, games, and other interactive visual e-learning content
• Designing and producing supplementary training resources, e.g., job aides, tutorials, fact sheets, etc.
• Working with Media and Marketing Department Creative Director to ensure consistency with Science 37 brand, tone, and messaging
• Ensuring visual continuity within and throughout all projects
• Revising assets based on feedback
• Conceptualizing and executing design concepts while working within project timelines, resources, and objectives
• Preparing all files in accordance with production requirements
• Organizing and maintaining a library of assets
• Staying current on emerging technologies and recommending tools for designing and producing visual assets
• Performing other duties and responsibilities, as needed 

Qualifications

• Degree or certificate from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience
• Previous Media or Agency experience preferred
• Excellent eye for design and intimate understanding of design elements
• Strong portfolio showing use of typography, color, and layout
• Experience juggling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team
• Working knowledge of training techniques and instructional design practices preferred

Skills/Competencies

• Ability to think creatively and execute deliverables
• Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud Applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Applications
• Strong work ethic, flexibility, and ability to perform under pressure in a calm and professional manner
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment and priorities
• Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate with others
