Graphic Designer (jr-mid level)

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or related design, with a minimum of 1 to 7 years of related professional experience
• Background in the architectural field or environmental design is a plus
• Advanced experience and proficiency in graphic tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), PowerPoint and other presentation programs
• Experience working with current and evolving digital technology and media, and printing and production techniques
• Ability to work quickly; respond to and prioritize multiple requests; be responsive to the time-critical nature of marketing deadlines
• Strong, creative conceptual graphic design skills
• Ability to research and distill technical and complex information into a graphic message
• Understanding of best practices for presentation graphics and materials usage
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members, be self-motivated and self-directed
• Ability to visualize and illustrate infographics that integrate type, color and graphics
• Ability to be focused, meticulous and thorough, with strong attention to detail and graphic consistency
• Exceptional presentation and organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Interest in user experience, environmental graphic design and wayfinding is an advantage
• A passion for design and storytelling
• Consistent pursuit of innovation in order to raise the bar
RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary focus of the Junior Graphic Designer II role is to design and produce marketing collateral and other graphic communication efforts. Specific duties include:
• Design and produce graphics associated with local office and firmwide marketing, public relations and
communications efforts, including
– Proposals and qualifications, covers, dividers, etc.
– Charts, graphs, diagrams, infographics and other communications graphics
– Presentation boards
– PowerPoint and other forms of interactive digital presentations
– Templates for graphics related to architectural, interior and urban design project deliverables
– Design guidelines and standards
– Press kits, award submittals, exhibits, displays, advertisements, and monographs
– Video production and editing
• Collaborate with project teams in branding, environmental design, signage commissions, design guidelines and design reports
• Advance projects with minimal oversight
• Proactively source information, content and direction from colleagues across the firm as necessary to complete a deadline
• Maintain graphic assets for projects
