Game Interface Designer

GreenPark Sports is hiring an interface designer to help define and create the user experience of our flagship mobile sports game.

Over the past year, we have been building a mobile sports game that is set to launch in 2021. The game blends fantasy sports, prediction & data modeling as well as mobile gaming into a daily sports experience. We are looking for a designer to help take our gameplay mechanics and shape them into a great game interface.

The day-to-day role involves designing wireframes, prototyping user flows, and converting abstract gaming concepts into fun interfaces. It also requires a keen ability to communicate your work to stakeholders and the company at large. This position draws on advanced knowledge of user-experience principles, information architecture, screen layout & typography, and systems design. You can expect to develop in each of these categories and beyond. We are a small team with an eagerness to challenge each other and improve every day.

Our game is multi-faceted and requires input from several disciplines. You will be a member of the experience design team and will work closely with a diverse team of game designers, product managers, 3D animators and engineers to bring the game to life. You will be expected to work with these other disciplines to create (and refine) a great experience for our users.

Currently, we use Figma for UX/UI design and Drama, Framer, After Effects & Proto.io to build interaction prototypes. We believe in prototyping early and often but are flexible with software preferences. For more visual exercises, we typically use Photoshop and Illustrator.

We are looking for someone with experience working on apps and games. This position does not require a specific educational background, but it does require a strong portfolio of relevant work that outlines your thought processes, the problems you and your teams solved, and your role in each project. Talent is important at GreenPark, but we value incremental improvement, persistence, and an ability to communicate ideas just as much.
