Designer, Digital + Brand
Freelance to full-time
The Designer, Digital + Brand, creates iconic digital assets that support our member engagement efforts that directs consumers to action. In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing daily promotional emails, lifecycle emails and high-revenue, product-led campaigns. You will closely work with Content, Merch Merchandising, CRM and Brand/Mission to deliver best-in-class digital marketing.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in digital marketing at an agency or in-house creative team who was able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Requirements include a passion for mission-marketing; a deep interest in healthy living; and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a high bar for excellence. Thrive Market is a fast-growing and young brand. The Designer will be an integral member of the Marketing Creative team helping to develop and evolve our identity.
This role will report to the Sr. Designer of Digital + Brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design digital and print pieces that support member engagement marketing such as: emails, slices, on-site assets, direct mail, box inserts, and auxiliary campaign collateral
- Collaborate with team members across photo, content, and merch marketing to determine objectives, style, and approaches necessary to complete creative objectives; Interpret and follow Creative Briefs
- Effectively communicate status of projects to key stakeholders on a regular basis, thoughtfully describing your process, strategy, and rationale
- Assist in owning all email marketing creative to meet monthly revenue targets Aid in design of cohesive promotional and mission-driven campaign collateral based on creative direction
- Collaborate with Content on editorial direction of email sends for monthly Merch Alignment meetingsHelp bring new ideas for digital, print design, and content creation to the team with knowledge of creative best practices and an eye for great design
- Own digital production responsibilities across the board such as: delivering final assets, managing digital files, and maintaining the integrity of design template library
- Ensure brand continuity in visual messaging across all digital channels
- Identify new opportunities to elevate our brand in the digital space, staying up to date on best practices of design, gif animation, and basic UX
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of design experience, preferably in agency or startup environments
- B.S./B.A. degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Web Design or comparable creative field
- Must love design and have passion for creative marketing strategies
- A solid eye, with conviction. A designer who understands modern design trends yet is always looking to optimize and push past them
- Strong digital experience at an in-house creative team or agency: banner design, web design, email design, and print
- Basic understanding of retouching, color correcting, comping, and photo editing
- Have an eye for layout, color, typography with a finger on the pulse of current design trends
- Possess an exacting attention to detail and strong conceptual skills
- Mastery of the Adobe Creative suite, especially PhotoshopStrong capability to extend creative assets across various platforms and devices
- User-centric approach to concepts and design execution
- Highly functioning within a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills along with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with a cool, positive, upbeat personality
