Job Description Summary

The Vehicle Data Analyst works on the team that prepares content for the CCC ONE Estimating platform such as linking components to an assembly, flagging pertinent parts of a repair operation, and solving customer inquiries around the construction of a vehicle and the methods of repair. The ideal candidate for this position will have years of experience in a collision repair shop and a deep understanding of vehicle construction and repair. This role collaborates with others to prepare and process new model year vehicle content as it becomes available from OEMs using internal toolsets developed by CCC.

Job Duties

• Leverage knowledge of vehicle construction to implement vehicle repair relationships between the parts of a vehicle.
• Research and recommend resolutions to customer inquiries such as when a part price or labor time is questioned;  this may involve working with external partners such as MOTOR Information Systems
• Use internally built tools at CCC to map relationships in vehicle data, execute reports, or perform other actions related to the preparation and delivery of vehicle chapter content
• Use CCC ONE Estimating to test and research problems and validate solutions
• When new (internal) vehicle data tools are needed by the team, participate in the submission of requirements and user-acceptance testing of those tools
• Continuously deepen knowledge and understanding of CCC’s core estimating platform and internal software tools to gain an expert understanding, and then share that expert understanding with others.
• Occasionally partner with technical and operation teams to resolve issues

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of passenger vehicle construction and parts gained through hands-on experience in a collision repair environment or insurance claims unit
• Willingness and desire to continuously learn and apply knowledge, with the goal of building mastery of CCC’s tools and methodology
• Experience using Microsoft Office:  Outlook, Excel, Word
• Ideally, have prepared reports or performed other analysis functions using Excel
• Ability to focus and dive deep into vehicle-estimating related questions to find a solution.
• Ideally, experience working with vehicle data in a prior position.
• Clear, concise complete and understandable written and verbal communications.
• Beneficial to have work experience or knowledge of motorcycle / ATV repair concepts.  (Not required)
