Ring’s Subscriptions team is responsible for managing and

building out the Ring Protect plans and the technology that which powers

our subscription platform. As the Sr. Business Analyst, your focus

will be on Ring’s growth initiatives including the expansion of

subscriptions across different platforms and, channels.

You will be responsible for defining KPIs, building

analyses and reports, and providing metrics that illustrate the

efficacy and performance of these initiatives. Additionally,

you will be responsible for extracting insights and collaborating

with product teams to drive business strategy, product improvements,

and an improved customer experience.

 

This role will partner with our internal data engineering team to

help build out our growing data model for the subscription service

with an emphasis on streamlining the effectiveness and impact of

reporting. Lastly, the scope includes collaborating with our email

marketing team to measure the performance of various marketing

initiatives and to determine which customer marketing efforts are

most impactful. The position interfaces with a variety of

stakeholders ranging from product managers to software and data

engineers to marketing teams. You will be instrumental in supporting a

fast-growing business segment and in delivering a best-in-class

experience for Ring’s customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership over all subscriptions-related analytics and reporting for subscriptions delivered through new channels, with a focus on growing the service, unlocking business opportunities, and proactively addressing critical risks
  • Understanding and analyzing the entire customer lifecycle with a focus on subscriber conversion and retention
  • Partnering with the data engineering team to deliver updates and improvements to the existing subscriptions data model
  • Building out impactful KPI tracking and reporting along with A/B tests to drive product improvements
  • Partnering with the email team to measure email campaign performance and drive optimizations around conversion and retention

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or similar field
  • 4+ years of experience with business analytics including defining core metrics and KPIs and working cross-functionally to guide strategy and product improvements
  • 3+ years of experience and full proficiency with SQL, querying large data sets, and architecting data models and reports
  • 3+ years of in-depth experience with analytics visualization tools such as Tableau 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Information Systems, MBA, or similar degree
  • Track record of distilling complex problems into their underlying components, validating hypothesis, and delivering actionable data-driven insights
  • Structured thinking, ability to self-manage, and advanced problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with a subscription business model and exposure to subscription-related metrics
  • Experience with forecasting and predictive analytics
  • Experience with regression analyses predictive modeling with tools such as R and SAS
  • Experience with data warehousing systems and ETL techniques
