Powered by insurance technology, we deliver a modern new lease experience that replaces expensive security deposits and guarantors. Renters pay $19 a month, which provides up to $5000 in coverage for the property on every lease—significantly more than a deposit. Renters save thousands of dollars at move-in while properties drive more leasing traffic and close more leases.

We are the only nationwide insurance technology of our kind, and we’re growing quickly. LeaseLock has insured over $100 million in leases, and secured $10 million in Series A financing from leading insurance and real estate technology venture funds including Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures.

We are headquartered a few blocks from the ocean in sunny Marina Del Rey, and are walkable to restaurants, bars and the beach.

About the Role

Data is a cornerstone of LeaseLock’s business. Internally, decisions are made using using KPIs and analytics. Externally, data is used to highlight the positive impact of LeaseLock. Data is our product -- and we are looking for someone to own this vitally important piece of the business.

We have been successful due to our ability to model, quantify, and underwrite the risk we insure. Insurance requires rigorous quality controls when it comes to data and reporting. As a result, the role is challenging and requires both extreme attention to detail and a curious mind. Those with a background in finance or statistics will find plenty of intellectual problems to solve here.

Our ideal candidate is someone who both loves data and can zoom out to see the “big picture”. A healthy mix of technical and analytical skills are required for success in this role.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a data-focused role

• Expertise with Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tool

• Strong analytical & quantitative skills

• Advanced knowledge of SQL

• A track record of solving business problems with data

Responsibilities

• Ownership of LeaseLock’s reporting, dashboards, and KPIs

• Create visualizations to explain and persuade - to both internal teams and client partners

• Translate complex data into actionable insights

• Integrate, process, cleanse, and standardize data from multiple sources

• Research new and existing data sources for R&D and new product ideation

• Collaborate with engineering to build out LeaseLock’s data warehouse and reporting infrastructure
