We are looking for a results-oriented, data-driven Pricing Specialist to support the Merchandising team.
The right person for the job will bring a strong set of analytical skills to bolster our growing, dynamic e-commerce business. You will drive the reporting, execution, and analysis of pricing strategies in support of each merchandise category as we well as company financial goals. You will evaluate all facets of the market and understand the delicate art of balancing economics and psychology across the entire pricing lifecycle.
Repsonsibilities
- Maintain competitive pricing reports and customize for teams across the organization
- Monitor cost changes, KVIs (Key Value Items), CPIs (Competitive Price Index) and recommend price changes, which increase profitability and optimize price perception
- Work with Merchandising Marketing team to develop pricing timelines for promotional periods that align with merchandise calendar and financial goals
- Grow total gross margin dollars by identifying and recommending pricing actions that encourage higher sale values, conversion rates, inelasticity and customer satisfaction
- Support the Category Management team in the identification, planning, and execution of pricing solutions for new item launches and assortment reviews
- Implement price changes and ensure accuracy across pricing files
- Support the development and implementation of price tests to validate category strategies
- Address pricing related questions from several sources, such as buyers and marketers
Qualifications
- 2+ years of prior pricing/retail experience
- Experience in reviewing and analyzing retail data (Nielsen, IRI, etc.)
- Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to effectively articulate and present insights
- Strong organization and project-management skills, including the ability to meet demanding and often competing deadlines
- BA/BS degrees in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics preferred
