Located in in Alajuela, Costa Rica, BVMedia is seeking a Database Administrator to join our fast-growing team. CARRER OPPORTUNITY:

The Database Administrator is a key player on our team, responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of company databases and guarantee that data is stored securely and optimally. The successful candidate will be in charge of helping in the maintenance, deployment, feature enhancements, and other administrative tasks related to our enterprise data warehouse.

WHAT YOU HAVE:

· The Database Administrator has proven working experience with Postgres for at least 2 years.

· Desirable knowledge of PI/PgSQL is a plus.

· Strong back-end knowledge is needed.

· Good knowledge of Ubuntu/Debian is a must.

· Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new versions when required.

· Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.

· The Database Administrator has advanced knowledge of database structure and theory.

· The successful candidate must demonstrate experience in various administrative tasks such as replication, clustering, backup, and recovery.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

-Advanced education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent

-Verbal/Written English proficiency
