In this role you will be a key driver of Apeel’s business and helping us to meet customer demand.

What You’ll Do

• Directly contribute to the development and implementation of the international logistics strategies to ensure cost effective and on-time delivery of Apeel product and equipment.
• Review customer demand & inventory data as necessary to establish baseline inventory levels and plan inventory replenishment at forward locations.
• Assist in developing analytical tools to manage inventory replenishment.
• Alongside the Sales and Operations teams, review the demand, forecasts, inventory requirements, inventory levels, and fluctuations in consumption of our products
• Further develop and maintain standard internal processes for shipment requests and execution.
• Assist in developing strong relationships with carriers and third-party logistics service providers to ensure capacity, high service levels, and optimal pricing. Conduct RFP/RFQ’s. 
• Maintain routing guides for frequently used lanes.
• Manage day-to-day transportation requirements including booking, monitoring, and following up on domestic and international shipments and resolving or elevating issues.
• Manage required logistics documentation.
• Periodically audit carrier/3PL invoices to ensure accurate billing.
• Remain current on logistics trends and developments, carrier practices, legislative changes, fuel prices and other similar market fluctuations.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze carrier KPIs, logistic dashboard, and reports. Identify trends and recommend corrective action as required. In collaboration with team, develop and provide periodic executive summaries.
• Conduct lowest landed cost analyses to determine transportation modalities and routing.
• Please note, The Logistics Analyst will report directly to the Senior Director of Logistics. 

What You Bring

• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, inventory planning, or other supply chain functions
• BA/BS in business, logistics/supply chain, or relevant area preferred but not necessary with equivalent level of logistics experience
• Strong analytical ability with advanced MS Excel skills
• Ability to adjust and execute in dynamic and demanding environment
• Effective and persuasive oral and written communication skills
• Highly organized with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
