Job Summary:

Under general supervision, the Jr. Database Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance of databases in the company. The role includes, system monitoring and improving database performance and capacity.. They may also plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard the database.

Job Expectations:

• Installing and upgrading the database server and application tools

• Developing database queries for applications and programs as needed

• Production deployments of T-SQL statements.

• Responsible for the creation, maintenance, upgrades, performance, integrity and security of the databases across the organization.

• Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the database

• Planning for backup and recovery of databases

• Maintaining archived data

• Generating various reports by querying from database

• Multitasking between projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  Required:

• Basic knowledge of SQL and experience with Microsoft SQL Server

• Basic knowledge of relational databases

• Basic knowledge of T-SQL and database programming

• Full understanding of database transactions and how they work.

• Experience in optimizing query plans

• Experience in database security

• Experience in working with SQL profiler

• Experience in database mirroring and replications

Experience Requirements:

• Experience in working with GCP, AWS, Azure would be nice to have.

Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree required. An emphasis in Computer Science preferred.
