Optimization Analysts work directly with first-party data to design experiments and testing strategies that identify untapped opportunities for optimization across our owned web properties. They centralize efforts in order to support multiple business units and teams, and partner with analytics, engineering, and product owners to convert findings into actionable solutions. The team consists of both design and technical expertise, as well as backgrounds in digital marketing, and is passionate about finding measurable solutions that impact business performance on a daily basis.
Where We Are
System1 is based in Los Angeles, where our Optimization Team sits at our Marina del Rey headquarters. We also have offices in Seattle, and our Canadian headquarters in Guelph, Ontario.
This role has the ability to work remotely in Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Ontario and British Columbia.
What You Can Expect on the Optimization Team
- Identify beautiful UX/UI strategies in the wild, and use those inspirations to design experiments that improve consumer funnels on owned web properties
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to evaluate findings, and partner with analytics and media buying teams to address real-time obstacles
- Independently manage priorities and workflow, while communicating proactively with your team to resolve roadblocks or collaborate on projects
- Visualize findings in large data sets using Excel, Tableau and Google Analytics
- For the more technically inclined - query and validate data using SQL, and support the team with more in-depth analysis of experimentation efforts overall
What You Can Bring to the Team
- 2-5 years experience in a conversion-based marketing, analytics, or optimization role (or combination thereof)
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and analytical techniques - A/B, MVT, etc.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Google Analytics, or Tableau - extra points if you use SQL to query data for analysis
- Familiarity with optimizing user funnels for profit-driven KPIs like ROAS, CPC, CPA, and quality score
