Since raising a $45 million Series A investment, the Output team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Director of Analytics to lead our analytics and data science efforts. Reporting to the VP of Product Growth, the Director of Analytics will help build our data culture at Output, leading an org of analysts embedded in functional teams, solving business and product problems. Additionally, this role will help evangelize and educate data driven analysis and best practices across the company, ensure consistency of data definitions through data governance practices, and expand internal access to data driven insights.
How you'll add value:
- Manage a team of analysts who are embedded in business and product teams, ensuring they have support and room to collaborate as a team.
- Provide oversight for quality of analyst work, ensuring metrics are being looked at consistently and that queries and analyses are consistent.
- Ensure executive and organization leads have access to the dashboards and insights they need to drive business decisions.
- Help define KPIs and provide data driven insights at the strategic level.
- Provide guidance on tooling and best practices, ensuring our analytics stack is best in breed.
What you'll need to be successful in this role:
- 10+ years in highly analytical roles, and 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing a team.
- A formal background in statistics or a related field is helpful but not required.
- Experience scaling a large BI visualization tool like Tableau, Looker, etc, to dozens of dashboards.
- Direct experience with ETL and data pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands on experience writing SQL queries and working with large data sets, and ability to lead others doing the same.
- Experience creating and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests in user facing applications, B2C and Saas experience preferred.
- Experience with client/mobile analytics is a plus
- Passion for democratizing music making and empowering creative music makers.
