You will collaborate with stakeholders as well as teammates to develop, construct, test, and maintain infrastructures for data generation. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, excellent personal organization and attention to detail, a love for data, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Primary Objectives

• Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a variety of data sources using both established and emerging technologies
• Propose standards and architecture in the data technology space
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics
• Create data tools for analytics that assist in building and optimizing our product
• Maintain, improve, clean, and manipulate data in operational and analytics databases
• Take accountability for the performance of your work at CAIS including the impact it has on the firm and our clients

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of experience in product development, engineering, or technology strategy
• BA/BS degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, information systems, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
• Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured data sets
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Ability to solve open-ended problems in an elegant and scalable manner
• Linear, logical thinking and the ability to resolve complex issues into manageable components
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter who takes initiative and learns quickly in a fast-paced environment
