Headspace is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join its Data Infra Team and be responsible for building out a great Data platform for our growing number of business users. As part of the Data Infra team, you'll be tasked with understanding pipeline architecture and ingestion into the Data platform, and be integral in the platform's continued growth.
How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:
- Maintain and enhance Headspace data platform
- Unify streaming and batch processing modes into one cohesive framework
- Respond to critical Data support issues in a timely manner with some on-call support for critical job failures
- Design and implement highly scalable, reliable development frameworks
- Monitor and troubleshoot existing ETL processes
- Implement API interfaces to third party data vendors including Google, Facebook, Amazon, Apple and others
What you’ve accomplished:
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud computing on AWS or Google Cloud
- 5+ years of experience in developing scripts using Python
- 2+ years of experience with Spark
- Strong experience in the development of ETL processes
- Strong experience with Data Architectures
- Excellent knowledge and expertise with SQL and NoSQL Databases - Redshift, MySQL/ Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, etc
- Excellent in understanding query execution plan and query optimization
- 2+ years of experience in CI/CD design and development with writing test cases
- Familiarity using Linux, Git, Apache Airflow, Jupyter/ Apache Zeppelin and Jenkins
