In this role you will:

• Design and implement highly generalizable models for solving various problems related to credit underwriting
• Own the Model-related aspects of the end-to-end customer journey, from data ingestion to production monitoring
• Translate unstructured business problems into well-defined machine learning projects
• Decrease customer development time by creatively solving their challenges by leveraging internal tools and processes
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Analysts to solve an array of customer problems
• Regularly and directly interface (e.g., status meetings, presentations, email correspondence) with customers, often as technical subject matter experts
• Highlight critical customer risks, design mitigation strategies, and quickly deploy those solutions

We are looking for:

• A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an engineering or quantitative discipline
• Experience in designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models/algorithms; lower-level, e.g., Scikit-Learn, XGBoost, Keras, highly preferred
• Undergraduate level programming experience or higher in Python and comfort with debugging/troubleshooting errors
• Highly motivated with a strong desire to work on real-world machine learning projects
• Gifted at breaking down complex problems and quickly implementing solutions
• Data-driven, business impact-focused, and fast learner
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability and interest to explain complex mathematical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Passionate about ML/AI and how it can improve the world
