About the Business Strategy Manager at Headspace:

Headspace is looking for a Business Strategy Manager to help us build out our Global Strategy and New Ventures organization. Reporting to the Director of Business Strategy for Headspace, this individual will work with a cross-functional team to assess the opportunity space, define the business and operational model, and co-create a strategic roadmap for Headspace that helps us to deliver against our mission of “Improving the health and happiness of the world.”

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

• Work closely with cross-functional partners including Finance, Business Development, Product, Science, Engineering, and International teams to ensure a coordinated and deliberate approach toward launching complex projects
• Conduct comprehensive viability assessment (e.g., market research, competitive analysis, etc.) to develop near and long-term strategy, positioning, and monetization roadmap
• Explore potential business models and revenue streams using discovery-driven planning and modeling
• Collaborate with leadership to identify, align, and prioritize near and long-term goals, vision, and KPIs.
• Identify and engage external stakeholders to identify, source, and evaluate potential M&A opportunities

What you’ve accomplished:

• A minimum of 5-7 years of work experience, ideally in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, and/or corporate development at a leading consumer, media, or technology company
• Bachelor's degree, MBA highly desirable 
• Successful candidates will combine rigorous business acumen across many of the following areas, along with world-class depth in one or two: Business Strategy, Organizational Behavior, Operations, Finance, and M&A
• Experience in or a deep understanding of building new products and services, bringing them to market, and scaling
• Excellence in complex business model development, scenario planning, and forecasting, with a depth of experience using Excel as a baseline
• Fluency with the human-centered design process and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making and quantitative skills
• Self-starter and comfort with ambiguity; ability to effectively balance multiple simultaneous priorities and deadlines with tight timelines
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
