WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

The Senior Manager, Inventory Finance Operations will play a key role in managing all supply-related financial matters. You're a finance and accounting professional who is interested in being in an operational role with a close interaction with internal business teams and external partners. You're able to manage multiple priorities and perform in a fluid, fast-paced work environment. You love diving into details to solve complex business problems and you're equally comfortable thinking about big picture industry trends. You have an interest in media and advertising technology. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Work cross-functionally with the Finance team to prepare and manage the monthly accrual of media costs
  • Investigate and resolve billing and reporting issues with inventory partners, working closely with relevant members of internal teams, including Inventory Partnerships, Technical Account Management, Support, and Finance 
  • Perform financial and operational analyses to identify risk and opportunities related to the Trade Desk's inventory partnerships; formulate and present recommendations based on those analyses
  • Constantly evaluate and improve our internal processes and policies to mitigate financial risks, working closely with the Finance team
  • Identify key trends through ongoing monitoring and analysis of key marketplace metrics
  • Manage day-to-day communications with inventory partners regarding billing and reporting matters 
  • Prepare ad hoc financial models and operational analyses related to the Trade Desk marketplace 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in economics, business administration or other quantitative field; MBA preferred 
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role; relevant media, advertising, or technology industry experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables, chart-making, and manipulation of large data sets) and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong quantitative abilities, financial aptitude and business acumen 
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, fluid environment of a fast-growing business 
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Roll up your sleeves attitude
