About the Role

Fashion Nova is on the hunt for an amazing Business Intelligence Analyst. We’ve got tons of data that is ripe for mining and analysis.  Our ideal BI Analyst would be comfortable accessing data from a variety of raw sources, as well as from a data warehouse. You would expertly extract key metrics, ensure the queries are accurate and repeatable, and pull the output into a user-friendly BI tool like Tableau or Power BI.  This role will have a stakeholder interaction component to it - specifically, interacting with different team leads to understand their data needs and then creating dashboards and tools that help them make the best possible business decisions. This role will also work closely with our Sr. Data Insights Analyst.  Together, you will surface impactful insights that take the company to the next level.

What You’ll Do

• Become deeply knowledgeable about our databases and data warehouses and assess where key business metrics live.  Map out this environment and collaborate with the Technology team to optimize the data ecosystem.
• Define key company metrics and ensure standardization across reporting
• Produce leadership-facing dashboards in BI tools such as Tableau
• Partner with various internal teams to deliver on requests for data and make recommendations on how we can more efficiently deliver such data in the future
• Surface business insights and recommendations on how to solve data quality issues

What You’ll Bring

• Expert SQL skills
• Strong familiarity with database environments and ecosystems - mySQL, MS SQL, Amazon Redshift, Google Big Query, PostgreSQL
• Previous experience with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar tools
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Passion for data and going above and beyond requirements for our customers
